In my free time, I like to do home improvement projects, attend concerts (rock, country, you-name-it), and spend time with family.
Music Teacher
I am currently the elementary music specialist at Centennial School in El Paso, IL and function as the high school choral accompanist for both curricular and extracurricular groups.
Private Lesson Instructor
Since 2012, I have been teaching piano and voice lessons privately. My student-centered focus allows pupils to choose what repertoire we play while remaining well-rounded as musicians. All students study music theory and gain practical performance skills.
Musical Theatre Director/Accompanist
My extensive knowledge of musical theatre has allowed me to music direct and accompany many local productions. Highlights include The Music Man, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Company, and Tarzan. Companies include Peoria Players Theatre, Children's Community Theatre (Peoria), Corn Stock Theatre, and Eastlight Theatre (Youth).
Professional Collaborative Pianist
Working with students at Eureka College, Illinois State University, and Illinois Central College has been a pleasure. Between 2014 and 2018, I spent time collaborating with local vocalists and woodwind performers for juries, recitals, and other important performances. My expertise is in soprano/tenor literature and double reed collaboration.
